Fully Voice Controlled Warehouse Management

The Minster system includes a fully voice controlled Warehouse Management System. Minster voice picking saves you time and money with an efficient voice system that is second to none. This ‘state of the art’ module covers all aspects of the warehouse operation including:

• Receipt of goods

• Replenishment of picking locations
• Picking
• Marshalling of picked goods/pallets
• Loading of vehicles
• Full stock takes
• Perpetual inventory

The module removes the need for paper documents within the warehouse, and allows operators to work hands free. It is a fully automated, real-time system utilising devices such as Talkman ^® T2 and T5 Voice terminals. All instructions are relayed to the operators via headsets with actions confirmed by speaking into a microphone, which removes the need for paper documents and allows true ‘hands free’ working throughout all areas of the warehouse, including specialist environments, including freezers. The system continually monitors the warehouse activity and outstanding tasks whilst automatically changing priorities and coordinating tasks to achieve the greatest efficiency. The system is totally real-time, so knows exactly when each picking operation takes place and can therefore ensure that replenishment movements are actioned at exactly the right time. In addition to improved efficiency, the Minster voice controlled WMS results in increased accuracy. Verification codes on locations, products, pallets and vehicles are quoted by the operators and checked in real-time to ensure operators are at the correct location, picking the correct product, and loading the correct pallet onto the right vehicle. Shelf Life Control and Batch Traceability

Minster’s Shelf Life Control module ensures customers’ ‘best before’ date requirements are satisfied and stock is rotated correctly. In the event that a batch or delivery needs to be traced, the system provides full tracking facilities from goods receipt, through the warehouse and out to customers. The software delivers reports showing locations and customer names in receipt of the traced product.
